Wow. What. A. Weekend.
The week started with Smoky Nagata from Top Secret Japan tuning Nissans from Monday all the way through wednesday late night, and it closed with Import Reactor Unlimited and Anime Matsuri. But before the official and epic weekend got started, Import Reactor Drift was to be the opening ceremonies to Import Reactor Unlimited.

Wednesday was the last day for Smoky Nagata to dyno tune the last batch of Nissans in Houston which happened to be open to the public as well. Fans from all over stopped by Secret Services Auto to see the legend doing what he does best.

As I write this post at 3am, I had just got back from Secret Services Auto about an hour away from where I stay. The dyno sessions are going well, and Smoky is relentless, and a true perfectionist when it comes to tuning. As soon as Nagata-san arrives to Secret Services, he puts on his game face and gets to work. He is a tuning machine!

The Mayday Garage crew got a chance to check up on the twin white Z’s being built by Planet Zero and Baker-Jackson Nissan. As you recall, these twin Z34′s are being built in preparation for Smoky Nagata’s arrival here in Houston. These 370′s will undergo a very drastic transformation as they will go from showroom stock, to track/show shock. Maydaygarage will be here documenting this event, and this past thursday, I got a chance to see what these cars were going through.

So, last night MaydayGarage ventured out with our friends to meet up with the legendary Smoky Nagata from Top Secret as he landed here in Houston, Texas. This is the beginning to an exciting week that is about to unfold here in Houston as we prepare for Smoky’s Top Secret “Process” tunes and Import Reactor. Smoky, who will be tuning cars here in Houston for the next three days at tuner shop Secret Services is looking forward to seeing the tuner cars of the local area. We don’t know about you guys, but we are hella stoked! This week is going to be insane..

So if you remember a couple of days ago, we had released some photographs of an 8-Pot Greddy Big Brake upgrade for a 370z that is sitting quietly in a vicinity here in Houston. Well, those big brakes need to be paired with some big baller wheels, especially for a car with a butt and front as wide as a Fairlady 370z. These pictures are only of the front, I never got to the rears. As you can see, these fresh new Advan RS-D’s are going to sit very nicely on the 370z. I still can’t get past the Bright Crome finish, it goes hard, hella hard.

Secret Services Auto was surrounded by 370z’s last thursday as Planet Zero, Swat Performance and Baker-Jackson Nissan were dynoing their Nissan 370Z’s in preparation for Smoky Nagata’s (of Top Secret Japan fame) arrival and tune starting on March 29th, just in time before Import Reactor Unlimited. I must have counted 5 or 6 370z’s that day in front of the shop, three of which sported a small “Top Secret” decal on the rear window.

On March 31, 2010, Houston will experience the legendary Smoky Nagata of TOP SECRET Japan like no other has before. Smoky, along with one of his trusted Top Secret Mechanics will be coming to Houston as special guests to local Houston car show, Import Reactor. Smoky however, is not just coming as a guest, he will also be tuning TWENTY Nissan cars over the span of THREE DAYS at local tuner shop Secret Services with a new ECU prototype, Top Secret Process.
The Chosen Nissan Cars to be tuned will be selected from the Nissan 350z, Nissan 370z, Infiniti G35, Infiniti G37, and R35 GTR. Over the span of three days, the first two will be PRIVATE tunes only, no public access will be granted. But, on the third day, from 3:00pm until 12:00am the Houston tuning community will look on as Smoky Nagata puts his personal touch on the remaining cars to be tuned.
This is truly a golden opportunity for anyone who has dreamed of having their car tuned by Top Secret Japan. Not only will 20 lucky people be able to meet the one and only Smoky Nagata of Top Secret, but they will also be able to have their cars tuned by him as well.
Meeting Smokey Nagata has always been a dream of mine and in March, Houston will get to experience the legend himself. OH HELL YES!
