A Sinister Love: Khanh Le’s 1972 Datsun 240Z.
It was 10:00pm on a Saturday night when I received a phone call from Mayday David. David was out at a local car meet when he stumbled upon a classic beauty that we had yet to see in our neck of the woods. At the exact moment of the call I was in the symphony listening to the legendary Nobuo Uematsu (the creator of the Final Fantasy music) getting my nerd on. It was intervened by the call that went a little something like this, "John, where you at?" David said. I responded, "Jones Hall, the symphony". David responds, “Well, you better get your suited up ass over here to this meet, because there is a Datsun you HAVE to see”.

Graveyards, fitting for the sinister minded
We have featured a Datsun before on this site, Van Luong’s, which, in my opinion is pretty damn clean and hard to top, so if these guys are making me come out to a meet in a symphonic suited up fashion, then, this HAD to be an awesome whip, and they were right. One thing I was not prepared for was the perfection that I was about to cast my eyes upon, Khanh Le’s 1972 S30 240Z.

This, is stance.
A Nissan Outing: The All Nissan Meet @ Baker Tuning
While I was in Dallas this weekend, Danh shot on over to the all Nissan Meet over at Baker Nissan on the North Side of Houston. Coupled with a guest DJ, aka Heavygrinder and local DJ Tito, it was a nice Saturday event. Baker Tuning got the point across that Nissans are their game, and they showed it. Enjoy the eye candy.

Blowing Shit Up with New MaydayGarage Stickers!
Today we are introducing our newest batch of one-off stickers!
First up is a sticker I hold dear to my heart, as I am a huge Back to the Future movie fan. 2010 marks the 25th anniversary of this epic movie, so to celebrate, we are debuting our BTTF MaydayGarage sticker in a run of only 50 stickers and will be available at the 512 Project this Saturday!
Speaking of the 512 Project, don't forget that we are hosting this year's Mayday Capital Run, a twin caravan leaving from both Dallas and Houston Saturday morning to the state's capital, Austin, TX. To commemorate this year's run, we have a limited edition Mayday Capital Run sticker for both our Dallas and Houston legs!
These stickers will be FREE for the FIRST 50 participants (cars) on each leg Saturday morning (after you fill out our waiver form), after that there will be no more!
We also have one more sticker.
I cannot show this sticker online as it is very controversial, and extremely limited. We will be handing out these prototype stickers to a select few at Project 512, so look out for them! I guaran-fucking-tee that these stickers will make you laugh, but I'm not going to spoil it here.
Stay tuned tomorrow as we will be doing some live blogging for those of you that couldn't make the event! Follow us also on Twitter @MaydayJohnP @MaydayDavidD and also on our Facebook Fan page!

A Sunday Funday: All Team Bash 2010
600 cars, 1000 plus people, 100 degree weather with 100% humidity, beer and BBQ combined, make Houston’s All-Team Bash. Ringing in on their third year, local hardpark crew Sunwork's leader David aka Kimo had his biggest event to date. The All-team Bash is a meet that has a few objectives in mind, to establish stronger comradery between crews, have a great time, and provide an all welcoming environment for those who want to come out and meet their local favorites. This year proved just that, people rolled from all over to hang out, eat, drink, and sweat to the beat of a ricer on a hot Sunday afternoon and we were there to hang with them.

An agressive look..

Beige.
To most people, beige is a color. To those in the automotive world, Big Beige is the nickname the media has christened Toyota Motor Co. The reason? Beige is boring. Toyota is turning into the new Buick, some say. They make safe, reliable, dependable, and almost always, predictable cars and trucks.
A Honda Day: Phuc Nguyen’s Crème’ 93′ EG Hatchback
I love the feeling when I come across a tuner car that I have never seen. When we live in the world of massive automotive tuning forums, tons of blogs and even Flickr, it is a rare sight to come across a clean ride that has been in hiding. I mean, it would be one thing if it was a car that was of rare production, but a Honda? Ya, that is rare. So, you can imagine the excitement we had when we came across a Honda that had not been splattered across the internet in a million Myspace angles. Imagine one that had been in silent slumber being pieced together at the pace of the owner, such as this car, Phuc’s 1993 Honda Civic EG Hatchback. Being a tuner since the late 90’s you can see he has some classic tuner style in this car, and when we laid our eyes on it, we were in love, in a nostalgic kind of way.

Classic Touch, Classic Feel
