Destined For Greatness: 3 370Z’s Prepare for the Arrival of Top Secret
Secret Services Auto was surrounded by 370z's last thursday as Planet Zero, Swat Performance and Baker-Jackson Nissan were dynoing their Nissan 370Z's in preparation for Smoky Nagata's (of Top Secret Japan fame) arrival and tune starting on March 29th, just in time before Import Reactor Unlimited. I must have counted 5 or 6 370z's that day in front of the shop, three of which sported a small "Top Secret" decal on the rear window.

Event Coverage: ESX Dealer Tour and Subaru Shop Day @ Gillman Subaru SW
On Saturday, Mayday Garage was out at Gillman Subaru Southwest as Houston welcomed West Coast Subaru tuner Easy Street Motorsports (ESX) while Gillman Subaru was having their first shop day of the year. Sunny skies and perfect temperature were the welcoming forces for the Subaru shop day as we collectively arrived to the dealership bright and early to start the day at 7:30 am.

Mayday Garage will be out at Gillman Subaru Southwest this weekend hanging out with the local Subaru community and greeting Subaru tuning legend Ali Afshar as he makes his Houston stop of his ESX American Dealership Tour. During this tour, Mr. Afshar and his crew will only be present at a few selected dealerships, and Gillman Subaru SW is one of them! ( I think you can thank the man Wally for this one.) So come hang out with ESX's Ali Afshar, Wally, Mayday Garage, and the rest of the local Subaru gear heads as we kick it and eat some AWESOME BBQ! Breaking News: Smoky Nagata of Top Secret to Come to Houston!!
On March 31, 2010, Houston will experience the legendary Smoky Nagata of TOP SECRET Japan like no other has before. Smoky, along with one of his trusted Top Secret Mechanics will be coming to Houston as special guests to local Houston car show, Import Reactor. Smoky however, is not just coming as a guest, he will also be tuning TWENTY Nissan cars over the span of THREE DAYS at local tuner shop Secret Services with a new ECU prototype, Top Secret Process.
The Chosen Nissan Cars to be tuned will be selected from the Nissan 350z, Nissan 370z, Infiniti G35, Infiniti G37, and R35 GTR. Over the span of three days, the first two will be PRIVATE tunes only, no public access will be granted. But, on the third day, from 3:00pm until 12:00am the Houston tuning community will look on as Smoky Nagata puts his personal touch on the remaining cars to be tuned.
This is truly a golden opportunity for anyone who has dreamed of having their car tuned by Top Secret Japan. Not only will 20 lucky people be able to meet the one and only Smoky Nagata of Top Secret, but they will also be able to have their cars tuned by him as well.
Meeting Smokey Nagata has always been a dream of mine and in March, Houston will get to experience the legend himself. OH HELL YES!

Event Coverage: NST 5th Anniversary Drift Competition & Car Show Part 2.
They say a picture says a thousand words, and if that's true, we have a ton of things to say in this second installment of our coverage of the Drift and Show competition held at Gulf Greyhound Park in LaMarque, TX.

Event Coverage: N.S.T. 5th Anniversary Drift Competition & Car Show Part 1.
This past sunday, the good folks over at NonStopTuning, a.k.a. NST, celebrated their illustrious 5 year anniversary in La Marque, TX with over one thousand close friends and family! While some businesses celebrate with cheaply made cake and cheesy party hats, NST took it a few steps further by holding a drift competition and car show held at Gulf Greyhound Park just south of Houston. Despite the bitter forty degree weather, that didn't seem to stop the hundreds of spectators from (as JohnP so eloquently put it) getting their drift fix. Luckily, there wasn't any disappointment from the drifters as they put on their multiple layers of clothing and kept their heads warm in their helmets.

This past Sunday MaydayGarage was out kicking it with our local Texas drifters for the Non Stop Tuning 5 year anniversary drift event. Mike, owner and founder of N.S.T. and local drift icon Aaron Losey from Fabricated Motorsports put on the drift competition and car show. 40 degrees and a slight wind chill was the welcoming weather for a pretty chilly exhibition of drift as we all literally froze our butts off. But hot as hell or cold as hell, we always find ourselves weathering it out to get our sideways fix.

A Bavarian Affair: Greg Strube’s BMW E30 M3
On a Sunday morning, it takes A LOT to get me out of the comforts of my bed because the chances are likely that the Saturday night festivities require a degree of recuperation. But this Sunday was different, as my morning was about to start off with the company of Mr. Greg Strube and his immaculate BMW E30 M3. Original parts and sexy lines made this M3 all business and a Bimmer Lover’s wet dream.
