On the Run: Ty Nguyen’s Simply Clean Audi A4
This past weekend when we are out at Subaru for the ESX Dealer tour, there were many makes and models OTHER than Subaru’s that came out to witness the event. From Honda's to Toyotas, people flocked as ESX stunted their drag car and Subaru hosted their shop day. There was one car however that stood out like a fat kid in dodge ball, and that car was Ty Nguyen’s, Audi A4. It was kind of funny how we encountered the car. We were standing around the event waiting for a raffle to start and a delivery van was somewhat blocking the entrance to the event, and when the van moved, someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, holy shit! I look back and asked what the hell the commotion was, and to my surprise there was this A4 Laying frame at a Subaru dealership, I paused, and knew we had to shoot it...and we only had 45 minutes to do so.

Destined For Greatness: 3 370Z’s Prepare for the Arrival of Top Secret
Secret Services Auto was surrounded by 370z's last thursday as Planet Zero, Swat Performance and Baker-Jackson Nissan were dynoing their Nissan 370Z's in preparation for Smoky Nagata's (of Top Secret Japan fame) arrival and tune starting on March 29th, just in time before Import Reactor Unlimited. I must have counted 5 or 6 370z's that day in front of the shop, three of which sported a small "Top Secret" decal on the rear window.
Balance of Power: Tim Zak’s Turbocharged Mugen RSX
I go to a lot of car meets around Houston. It's fun to meet up with old friends and shoot the shit, but more often than not, people ask, "why don't you ever feature Hondas?" My answer is usually the same. You see, I grew up in the 90's where import "tuning" was all about big rims, gaudy body kits, RS Akimoto intakes and custom conversions. Hondas were THE cars to modify. Nowadays, my tastes haven't strayed too far from my VeilSide combat roots, albeit, a bit more mature and modifying Hondas have gone through a series of changes as well. For the last few years, it's been tough for a Honda to make me say wow. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a shaved and tucked engine bay as much as the next kid, but most of the Hondas I see around town are lacking in some way.
Wek-Fest 2010: MaydayGarage Closing Coverage
I am going to leave the last bit of coverage to this hella dope Lotus Elise on TE-37's. <3
Overall I had a great time at this show, it had definitely been a while since I was engulfed by that type of energy for a tuner show. Mayday will definitely be at Wek-Fest next year, and it will be for longer than 36 hours, haha. For the rest of our Wek-Fest pictures, courtesy of Mikeyyy and I please click here. And stay tuned for our up and coming feature tomorrow by David Do.

Wek-Fest 2010: MaydayGarage coverage pt. 1
So, we continue our coverage of Wek-Fest. As we had mentioned before, we had been awoken to the sound of exhausts and scraping frames at about 6:00am on Sunday morning. When I had run outside of the hotel to see what the hell was going on, it was apparent that cars were already starting to line up to enter the show. ...
Wek-Fest 2010: A Preview
This past weekend we ventured out to California to check out Wek-Fest in Japantown, San Francisco. When we heard that this show consisted of Nor-Cal’s finest, we really did not know what to expect, the anxiety was killing us the whole way to San Fran. With us being from Houston all we could hope for was what has come to us in blog features or what hits the magazine stands. We were sure in for a surprise though, not only were expectations met, but they were surpassed. These crews rolled out hard, and I sure as hell cannot remember the last time a tuner show I went to had that level of energy, it was damn impressive.
