Event Coverage: Wek’Fest Pre-Meet at Baker Tuning part 2.

In part one of our coverage, I just posted a bunch of pictures, cause I was just wanting to throw out a small portion of our pictures before the internet got flooded with others.

So now I’m gonna throw out a LOT more photos so our readers can see what went down.

Ronald's 1JZ powered FD was turning all sorts of heads

And here they started to roll in and it wasn't even time for meet to start!

The Powerful and Fabulous PowerFab G35. All show, and all Go.

Yes, people weren't just sitting by their cars...

The Strictly G'z crew showed up in strong numbers.

If you guessed this FD had a non-rotary motor, you guessed right.

The crowd listens as JohnP calls out Bingo Balls.

Jk. He was calling out names in our free raffle for swag, but on weekends JohnP does play Bingo

Mind. Blown. Jorge’s Crazy Sick and Lightning Quick TechArt GT Street RS 911 GT2RS

Yeah, that’s a lot of adjectives and one super lengthy name for a car. If it were entirely up to me (which, let’s not kid ourselves, it is, but we have a lot of readers with short attention spans), I would have described it with no less than 15 different adjectives, because even then, it wouldn’t be enough to properly describe Jorge M’s fantastic TechArt GT Street RS 911 GT2RS.

Two words come to mind. What was it again? Oh yeah, "Holy Shit."

Jorge didn't really feel comfortable trusting a valet with his car, so he parked it the best way he knew how. Like a BOSS.

Admit it. You want it.

Nostalgic Wednesdays: 1970’s Toyota Celica

74 Celica GT

I visited an old friend of mine who owns a car shop. He had a collection of old SA RX-7s where he had 1 project build and probably 3 parts cars. While catching up with life, an old guy walks in asking for an oil change; then I was stunned, as I was watching a red 1st gen Celica coupe enter the ramp. I smiled as it was being prepped to be lifted and said to my self, “Man, that is a beautiful car”. 36 years and the style is still appealing. Not only it was a beauty but it also packed a punch with its well kept 2.0 4cylinder, ohhh! it sounded so nice. Even if it was dubbed as the “Japanese Mustang”, the 1st gen Celica will always bring a smile to my face. Just like the meaning of its name, it is definitely “celestial”.  Here are some 1st gen Celica “eye-candy” i found online. Enjoy!
