It’s a wrap!

The last six days has been the most craziest, insane and fun time I’ve had in a while. Two main photographers from Cali, add in 14 cars, five days, TX2K14, HIN, Anime Matsuri, homosexual tendencies, and a shit ton of coffee and you have one hell of a week.

Here’s a few photos for a preview!

Need more light? No problem. Every photographer has an LED light on their smartphone.

The infamous Patrick Lauder, aka Quickworks Photo, visualizing a shot.

Linhbergh setting up his gear/plank to capture Khiem's dirty ass FD

Karissa Hosek premixing her single turbo FD. She didn't know I was taking a photo

Robert Lopez and John Zhang, aka 1013mm, know their light bitch roles for Paul Morgan's S2k

Linhbergh, JZ, and Mikey sharing dim sum, STD's and laughs.

We don't condone rape. And technically this isn't because he was willing.

MUCH more to come!

1013mm x Quickworks Photo x Mayday Garage.

Just like yesterday morning, this morning myself, John Zhang, Patrick Lauder and Danh Phan met up our subjects, Tom Syhachack and Rob Amason, owners of a beautiful S2000 and BMW E28 at the butt ass crack of dawn. We met up, drove out to downtown and snapped some pretty epic shots. Doing this twice a day everyday will take it’s toll on our sleep, but if you’re like John Zhang and can slam down 3 vanilla iced lattes at Blacksmith, you’ll be good.

Blue Steel.

JohnP, Khiem and myself ventured out to Rosenberg, TX on a dreary day to check out and support Kimo Richard’s All Team Bash, a meet that brings car clubs together to not only show their cars, but to participate in team games and shoot the shit. I managed to find this stunning blue gem in the middle of a water puddle inside the fairgrounds and took a few shots despite getting my shoes wet.

The side profile of the S2000's mimic classic sports cars with their elongated front ends and short wheelbase.

Although the Spoon Tai front bumper may be a little aggressive, it also works well on the stock lines

This AP2 pulls off the track ready street look very well

Golden Hour.

Golden Hour is the photographer’s best friend and natural ally and is especially true in automotive photography. This picture was taken earlier today while sippin coffee after coming back from today’s All Team Bash held in Rosenberg, TX. It’s always good to have a nice camera nearby, but even cell phones will work, but they’ll always have just a little more ooomph if it’s taken during that magical time period we know that is the golden hour (not shower).

1013mm x Mayday Garage

Some time ago, I had asked John Zhang aka 1013mm, if he would want to come to Texas for fun and to hang out with Team Mayday Garage. JZ graciously accepted and had asked me to find him a few cars to shoot while he was here in Houston. I did my best to find what he wanted, and now the time has come for the Mayday boys to show this SoCal photographer how we do it in the dirty south! The festivities begin next week, so keep your eyes peeled.

The drift tofu van/missile. We will NOT be shooting it.
