Class Action Suit: Tot Tuong’s C63 AMG Street Terror.

AMG stands for Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach (I have no clue how to pronounce that), a subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz car maker, but to me, it’s a hell of a lot easier to remember AMG as A MENDACIOUS GIRL.
What’s a mendacious girl, you ask? Basically, a two faced woman who’s good at being quite deceitful.

Most men will tell you that their ideal woman is a respectable, classy lady by day, and a complete slut at night. Hey, I can’t speak for all men, but there is a bit of truth behind this saying, and Tot Tuong’s C63 AMG is the proverbial proof in the pudding.

Nostalgic Wednesdays: The Momo Monte Carlo

It’s Wednesday and days go by so fast that I felt like yesterday was just Sunday. During the weekend, I woke up extra early and met up with one of our awesome photoG’s DPhan. We got to Houston Coffee and Cars (HoustonCAC) and saw David already there, taking pictures of a DeLorean. One thing that I always do every time I go to car meets (specially CAC) is that I look in each car’s interior and check out the steering wheel. I get all smiles when i see a Momo steering wheel in a factory or a modified car.

One cool fact that I love about the Italian company founded by Giampiero Moretti is that after opening his company in 1964, after 4 years, in 1968 Momo signed a contract with Ferrari to supply steering-wheels for all its Formula 1 racing cars and road models.

Momo’s aren’t only found in a Ferrari now a days, even other companies are being supplied by the Italian steering wheel maker. A good example would be the Honda Type R line up, that has a momo stamp on it’s factory equipped wheel. If there’s one part that I think a Honda, and a Ferrari have in common(no not the spoiler..lol), it’s the Momo steering wheel; not just any regular Momo steering wheel but the Monte Carlo series.

Max Res Mondays: Working class.

We typically don’t post a wallpaper when we haven’t even put up the feature, but here’s a nifty picture I snapped off while our own Danny Barber was working with Haas Fogle at an undisclosed location/garage on a really cool Porsche 993 911. Old school meets new school. Keep your eyes peeled for a Mayday Life post by our own Danny Barber soon.

Every Dr. Jekyll Has it’s Mr. Hyde: Kaho Ng’s Street Sweepin’ S2000.

Cats and dogs, yin and yang, Superman and Lex Luthor, bloods and crips. For everything in the universe, there’s always an opposite that lurks somewhere in the world. Finding that opposite could mean certain doom, but for us, we found our Dr. Jekyll to Richie Ngo’s Mr. Hyde in the Crescent City, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Nostalgic Wednesdays: The Blues and Oranges

The OGs

Today’s Nostalgic Wednesday would not be about a car, a bike not even a boat; it would be about a combination of iconic colors. Gulf Powder Blue and Marigold orange, are combination of colors that are not only photogenic but also had made an impact in the world of motorsports racing.

GT40 on the famous "corkscrew" turn8/8A @ Laguna Seca

The famous Gulf livery colours originated when Gulf Oil Corporation in 1967 first took over the sponsorship of the J.W. Automotive Engineering Ltd., also known as JWAE. The official Gulf sponsored cars that sported the colors were  the Ford GT40 and Mirage Prototype that competed in the 24 Hr LeMans.
