I go to a lot of car meets around Houston. It’s fun to meet up with old friends and shoot the shit, but more often than not, people ask, “why don’t you ever feature Hondas?” My answer is usually the same. You see, I grew up in the 90’s where import “tuning” was all about big rims, gaudy body kits, RS Akimoto intakes and custom conversions. Hondas were THE cars to modify. Nowadays, my tastes haven’t strayed too far from my VeilSide combat roots, albeit, a bit more mature and modifying Hondas have gone through a series of changes as well. For the last few years, it’s been tough for a Honda to make me say wow. Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a shaved and tucked engine bay as much as the next kid, but most of the Hondas I see around town are lacking in some way.
Wek-Fest 2010: MaydayGarage Closing Coverage
I am going to leave the last bit of coverage to this hella dope Lotus Elise on TE-37’s. <3
Overall I had a great time at this show, it had definitely been a while since I was engulfed by that type of energy for a tuner show. Mayday will definitely be at Wek-Fest next year, and it will be for longer than 36 hours, haha. For the rest of our Wek-Fest pictures, courtesy of Mikeyyy and I please click here. And stay tuned for our up and coming feature tomorrow by David Do.

Wek-Fest 2010: MaydayGarage coverage pt. 1
So, we continue our coverage of Wek-Fest. As we had mentioned before, we had been awoken to the sound of exhausts and scraping frames at about 6:00am on Sunday morning. When I had run outside of the hotel to see what the hell was going on, it was apparent that cars were already starting to line up to enter the show. …
Wek-Fest 2010: A Preview
This past weekend we ventured out to California to check out Wek-Fest in Japantown, San Francisco. When we heard that this show consisted of Nor-Cal’s finest, we really did not know what to expect, the anxiety was killing us the whole way to San Fran. With us being from Houston all we could hope for was what has come to us in blog features or what hits the magazine stands. We were sure in for a surprise though, not only were expectations met, but they were surpassed. These crews rolled out hard, and I sure as hell cannot remember the last time a tuner show I went to had that level of energy, it was damn impressive.
