Rotary Revival: Jack Coxe’s Pristine Mazda RX-7 FD.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost is pretty well known for it’s take on “The road less traveled”, that is, doing things just a wee bit differently than most. When I asked they guys at Gorilla RE, a local tuning shop near New Orleans that caters to rotaries, if they knew of any cool cars, Jonathan Bruce, owner of Gorilla RE said he knew just the person. About half an hour later, this great white beauty was thrust upon my rotary lovin’ eyes.

Great Caesar's ghost, this FD almost woke the dead.

Seeing a proper 13B-REW always sends a tear down my cheek

Despite the torrential downpour, we rolled up our pants and kept shooting

Lifestyle: The Mayday Life.

This post is a long time coming.

So a lot of people I meet at car events/meets/shows always say three things-
1. “Hey man, I love the photos/coverage/cars you guys put up!”
2. “Yeah, I always keep up with your blog and Facebook page!”
3. “What else do you guys do besides take photos and write posts?”

Three's company?

Work'ing hard or hardly Work'ing? Definitely the first.

Some people love shopping in malls, we prefer junkyards.

If you know us personally, then you know what we’re into, and the kind of things we do, but a lot of you have been asking what exactly we do. Sure, we post random car pictures on Facebook, take photos of cars and meets/events, but like our tagline suggests- we are ricers first, bloggers second. So in an effort to show our followers what we’re into, we will be introducing another segment, The Mayday Life. The Mayday Life will be a random post about ONE day in our lives, and it could be about pretty much anything. But it’s always car related.

Event Coverage: MaydayGarage x SpeedHunters All Japanese Nostalgic Car Meet.

What started as silly banter on our Facebook page between me and SpeedHunter, Linhbergh Nguyen, evolved into a proposed meet of Houston’s best old school Japanese classic cars, I excitedly agreed to make it happen. When JohnP eventually found out that I had accepted the proposal from Linhbergh, JohnP had gone into full fledged freak out mode. If you know a little about John’s background, then you know when he throws a meet, you also know he likes to do things big. Enter the MaydayGarage x SpeedHunters All Japanese Nostalgic Car Meet.
