Option Fix: Option2 #34, Silvia/180sx Super Tuning.

It’s old, it’s good, the legendary Option2 #34. Silvia-180sx Super Tuning special. Everything from drag to drift, this episode is sooooo bad ass. Take note of Koguchi’s 180sx in part 6 and look at his style, remember this is from 2001 and these guys whips would still break necks today. I hope your Japanese is good.

Nostalgic Wednesdays: The Mitsu/Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler StarQuest.

Welcome to another edition of Nostalgic Wednesdays!

If you’ve been keeping up with our Facebook page, I posed the question of what you guys would like to see in our Nostalgic Wednesdays posts, and Nolan Bjorn was the first one to give us some feedback and suggested the Mitsubishi Starion to which, I gladly obliged.

Factory stock, this JDM supercar already looks like it has some serious aero.

Random Ricer Outing: An all S2000 Meet.

This past Saturday our good friend Tom aka MedicalStudent (even though he is no longer a student) asked us to come check out an all S2000 meet for the local S2000 S2KCA chapter. Being the S2000 enthusiasts we are he didnt have to ask twice as we moseyed our way over to local tack shop C&C’s Northside Motors. Although the meet was rather light compared to last year, it was definitely good to see some old faces.

The meet consisted of BBQ, S2000s, S2000s, and more S2000s.

Pictured below is Tom’s Mugen S2000. He is no slouch when it comes to building serious cars and this S2000 is no exception.

We stopped by the meet for just a short bit so we didn’t catch much, but I think the kiddo seen below was pretty happy about it.

TXIC x Gillman Subaru x Dave Mirra: The Big Event 2.

This past weekend here in the oil city of the Lone Star state, our friends over at Gillman Subaru brought in a special guest to help launch the new 2011 WRX, Dave Mirra. Now, if you were familiar with the first “Big Event” that went down a couple of years ago, the guest at that time was another X-Games legend and Subaru rally driver Travis Pastrana. The event was spear headed by non-other that Waleed Elostaz (Wally), a pretty well know local supporter of ricer activities and huge sponsor of TXIC forums over at NASIOC. If you would have stopped by the joint this past Saturday it was quite obvious that he lead the event to success. From 6:00am until 4:00pm was a non-stop frenzy of Dave Mirra, rice, and a couple thousand people. It was pretty nuts.

Mirra saying whats up to the crowd, he was pretty stoked.

Nostalgic Wednesdays: The Kraft Racing GT300 AE-86

The Kraft Racing GT300 AE86 is, in my opinion the sexiest 86 of all time. Powered by none other that the legendary 503E (3S-GTE on Crack), the factory backed Kraft Trueno shared the same heart as the GT300 Supras from the older JGTC series.   Unfortunately the car no longer exists as it was abandoned by the Kraft team for a newer MR-S halfway through the 2001 JGTC season.( According to sources the car burnt to a crisp on track).  When it did compete against its newer counterparts however, this fan favorite became as piece of Japanese tuning history.  There is not very much media on this car around anymore because it existed before the time of mega blogs and forums, but, linked below is the Kraft GT300 AE-86 build video with tribute to GT300. Simply put, amazing.
