Houston Cars and Coffee: August 2010 edition.

Cars and Coffee, a monthly meet held nationwide,  is where cars of all sorts come out drink coffee and display their whips.  These are not just any cars however,  in most cases it is the top of the top of automotive genres.  In my opinion you really have to have some nuts to drive a half ass done riced (in the wrong way) out civic to one of these things, at least in the showoff areas.  Houston never had an official Car and Coffee leg (go figure).  So with  the nearest Coffee and Cars to H-town being in in Dallas,  Houston started to form their own.  It has steadily grown from a few exotics and hot rods to several hundred cars of all sorts, making it quite an event.

Nostalgic Wednesdays: The JACCS Accord.

If you’re like me, then you’ve been playing Gran Turismo ever since it first debuted on the Sony Playstation. I was introduced to a lot of cars I never even heard of. Cappuccino’s, FTO’s and even the coveted Pikes Peak Suzuki Escudo R were cars I learned a great deal about over a decade ago through the magic of video games. Yes, my eyes were open to all sorts of new JDM race cars as well. Among them, one particularly caught my eye, the very bright and colorful livery of the JACCS Honda Accord.

I still laugh when people tell me that rim tucked cars can never be raced competitively.
