Nostalgic Wednesdays: Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Competition Evoluzione

80’s JDM

As a kid, most of us had that one car poster in our bedroom. some had the White Lamborghini Countach, the F1 cars, the Red Dodge Viper, the white Ford GT90 and of course, the red Ferrari Testarossa. I grew up in the generation where if you said Ferrari, I pictured a Testarossa. I wasn’t really a fan of it, till Willy Koenig built the Competition Evo Special.

Nostalgic Wednesday: Carrozzeria Pininfarina

Last week, news spread over the automotive world about the death of an icon, Sergio Pininfarina. Business built by family, Sergio joined his father Battista Farina at Carrozzeria Pininfarina and quickly became a key foundation to the company. During his career, Sergio oversaw most of the designs specially Ferrari. The brand Pininfarina and Ferrari are so synonymous like peanut butter and jelly sammich, you cant mention one without thinking of the other. In 1961, by decree of the Italian president, his lastname was changed from Farina to Pininfarina to match company’s pride and integrity. Other than Ferrari, the company designed a couple of cars for AlfaRomeo, Lancia, Chevy, Mercedes Benz, and many more.In memory of Sergio Pininfarina,What are your favorite Pininfarina designs?
