Coffee and Cars happens every month, and it’s been getting bigger and bigger with each meeting. And if you’re a morning person, Coffee and Cars is definitely something you don’t want to miss, but what if you’re a night owl? Where do you turn to? What is THE meet to be? Unless you’ve been hibernating for the last few years, everyone that lives in Houston knows, you CANNOT miss the TX2K night meet hosted by HPD (Houston Performance Driving, not Houston Police Department!).

Pretty much my favorite car there. Yes, I like domestic cars.

Supras were the main stars at this event

Live music, Fast cars and hot scantily clad women. Heaven.

Mikey never disappoints.

If you're offended by half naked ladies, you should not be reading this

On the same day of the Dyno challenge, this late night meet brings in hordes of local car enthusiasts from pretty much every corner of Houston. Whether you’re driving from Clear Lake, Humble, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, or Pasadena, if you missed out on these events, you can’t just show up next month, because it only happens ONCE a year. Held at Frank’n’steins Grill on the west side of Houston, this night time gathering of imports, domestics, exotics and everything in between, come for mainly two things: Cars and Bikini’s.

Steve's Supra still looking good with the new front bumper

Definitely one bad ass bug

Not just for looks, either

Thirsty? You're in the right damn place.

Walking through the endless sea of aluminum and steel, you can spot the locals, and the vistors pretty easy by just glancing at some of the out-of-town license plates. There are usually huge crowds lining the parking lot as to make a “catwalk” for incoming cars to do their strut. And strut they did, this must have continued for about 4 hours non-stop, with roughly about 2-300 people watching on the sidelines. The other thousand or so people were seen littering the parking lot, but it didn’t matter once the Bikini Contest started.

Old Camaros like this one make my heart melt

But it'll also eat you alive.

We also noticed a nice showing of old Datsun cars like this Fairlady

This green machine had immaculate paint.

My favorite Japanese car there was this LS powered 240Z with CF flares and meaty tires

I didn’t go watch the show mainly because there were just too many people crowded around the main stage. That didn’t stop our photographers though, as Khiem, Danh and Mikey made their way through the crowd to snap off some decent shots. Props to Mikey for improvising!

The crowd before the ladies got on stage...

....and after

LOL @ the guy taking cell phone pictures of her

MaydayGarage does what we have to.

I don't get it either.

In the end, as you left the meet, the festivities did not end, as most of the high horsepower cars were seen driving up and down I-10 for some friendly fun. I won’t go into it, but when you put guys with an average horsepower rating of 500hp on the freeway, you can guess what may have ensued.

We hope that next year we’ll be able to cover ALL of the aspects of TX2K12, and if we do, you can bet that we will have all of our guys doing what we do best, bringing you the greatest photo coverage of anyone here.

We'll be back. -Arnold

The End.
