The past weekend we ventured out to Grand Sport Speedway to catch up with a couple of buddies and cast our fanboy eyes on a few NSX’s running around the track. Ever since the 90’s the NSX has been the ultimate ricer mobile. A timeless chassis, sexy lines, and nimble drive make this queen a ricer’s catch of a lifetime. So, with that being said, when we caught word that NSX Prime’s Southern Chapter was hosting an all NSX event at GSS in Hitchcock Texas, we were on it, like a chubby kid on ice cream.

Timeless lines
This was the first annual NSX Craze, and event organized to invite to all NSX owners in the South to get together, hard park and then drive the living hell out of their timeless autos. When we had arrived to the track, there were a few NSXs tearing up the track and of course some who never left the pits. According to our sources those who showed up way late, or not at all had apparently partied way to hard the night before. Either way, one NSX or thirty NSXes, it is still a sight for sore eyes to catch these beauties on track.

Although there weren’t a ton of cars that showed up to the track, this was the FIRST annual NSX Craze and it definitely has the potential to be one of the more coveted events to happen here in Houston in the years to follow.

Sexy Style
Some guys preferred the track while others preferred to park, Hard.

Doing Good.

Good in the Boot too

Ass, and a lot of it.

Something about the Silver.

One of a couple non Hondas

Rahim was drag racing the NSXs Race Wars Style

I think the point has been made that we love the classic C2.

Love them diffusers

Classy
When we walked onto the track to get settled in our spots, we ran into huge packs of mosquitoes that were hiding on the grass and man were they out for blood. So, being that we were at risk of bird flu or anything else that those monsters spread, we kept on a closed off portion of the track to shoot. During the sessions that we were on the track we caught a few of the NSXs, damn they look good rolling!

88 MPH

That is Stance.

The fastest guy all day.

For some reason I was digging the 2" staggered difference

If you could only hear this thing scream!

Says it all.

Speaking of Screaming, this guy had no exhaust. It was loud as hell.
Even a couple of Caterham 7s came out to play. Although these things are balls fast aroung the track, I still don’t think they are quite as good looking as the Honda Champ.

ya, I'm faster.

Quick as hell

Dat Ass

Nice headlights too but I prefer flip ups ;)
Comradery played a pretty large roll out at the track as fellow NSXers helped each other out with mechanical woes at the track. Even a fellow Acura tech was on the field lending a hand.

Can I get a ride?

D'oh, I forgot my helmet.

you can't have mine!

So you see...

Let me help.

Wanna Race?

This guy had a Flawless 94' that he has owned since 1996, damn nice
Seen here.

Something about Green on Tan.
In pursuit.

Where the heart is.
Before anyone could get on track however, a drivers meeting had to be held, as you can see, everyone showed up.

I was on time right?
…..Money.

With classic Aero, this NSX is still looking great..

With the classic C2s this NSX is soooo money.
This STMPO NSX was pretty wild, one off parts everywhere and no exhaust made this thing pretty menacing around the track. Wild Stuff.

Aggressive stance.

There was a ton of carbon on this thing, even on the heart.
Always fun to sit back and watch beauty in motion…

Blink
It was a pleasure to be able and go catch these lucky NSX owners on the track. Rain, shine, scorching hot sun, and snow couldn’t keep us from the sexy style that the NSX has to offer. We really look forward to the next NSX Craze that is in the brew. Seen here on the left is Scott, he was the organizer of the day’s events and one of the heads of the Southern NSX Chapter. Great stuff Scott!

Live, Breath, Drive, NSX. That's these guys.
More information about future NSX events, and details on the rest of these guys wild weekend can be found here at the SouthCentral Chapter’s section of NSX Prime.
