Diversity. Variety. Multiplicity.

It's not a buick.
These words best describe the Houston Coffee & Cars events that are now infamous here in the states. Taken directly from the Coffee & Cars website:
“Houston Coffee & Cars, the event that started as a vision to have automotive enthusiasts who own and drive rare machines share their passion with others while enjoying a cup of coffee the first Saturday morning of every month, quickly turned into one of the country’s top automotive gatherings and has become what it is today. The founder, who after transferring to Houston from Los Angeles noticed a missing connection in the local automotive scene and what started as just a gathering of no more than 10 cars that included machines from the Ferrari and Lamborghini clubs as well as beautiful classic machines now hosts over 400 cars and gathers automotive enthusiasts of all ages.”

My favorite car there, what looks like an early 60's Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California

The Toyota Supra fought hard to stand out in a sea of supercars

If you look closely, you'll see John's mind get blown.

3 very unlikely bedfellows.
Simply put, The Houston Coffee & Cars is THE premier place to be if you adore anything on wheels. Starting their roots in Uptown Park, located on the west side of Houston near the famous Galleria, every event had more and more rare, super rare and ultra rare cars come out. If you could somehow manage to fight your urge to sleep in on that first saturday of the month, you would be rewarded with seeing pretty much anything under the sun that rolls on wheels.

This tiny Alfa Romeo was a sight!

This Camaro caught our attention

Perfect Engine bay.
Coffee & Cars is pretty much the only place you’re likely to see a Delorean DMC-12, a Bugatti Veryon, a track and race prepped Ferrari F355 Challenge, slammed hot rods, and a HellaFlush Lexus all parked in the same row. This is no exaggeration either. Just when I thought I knew all of the cool cars in town, somehow this gathering of all things automotive consistently blows my mind. It’s no wonder the even keeps getting larger.

Bimmer love.

Streetable race car? yes please.

I didn't get a chance to look at what kind of car this was. Anyone have a clue?

Peek a boo!
Speaking of which, you’ll notice two things about Coffee & Cars lately. Among becoming worldwide known through huge automotive blogs such as Jalopnik, you’ll notice that the event is no longer held at Uptown Park. While I won’t get into details about why they are no longer hosted there, I will say that Coffee & Cars definitely outgrew their previous location. The event itself is only from 8am to 10am, a scant two hours, which means just about everyone is there by 9pm causing a huge influx of cars scrambling to find a parking space. It was only a matter of time before the event would move to a larger location.

New school muscle

Clean and wide, just how we love our cars

This move to a new location required a bit more planning than originally thought as the event didn’t take place for November which caused quite a stir in the local automotive communities. People were eager to show off their pride and joys.

Now imagine what would happen if Hennessey got their hands on a GTR...

Hot diggity dog!

Nice bay. Check out the brake lines!
The good people at Coffee & Cars announced just mere days before this past saturday that there would be an event, and it would be held at the Marq-E Center, only a few minutes away from the previous venue. Although this time there would not be a Starbucks or any other coffee vendors, this didn’t stop enthusiasts from getting their fix of caffeine. There was still coffee served (don’t know by whom, sorry!), and people even stopped by their favorite barista before making their appearance at the event.

Someday, this kid will inherit his dad's badass ride

One interesting bit of news came in the form of Hennessey Motorsports unveiling their Hennessey Venom GT to the masses at exactly 8am sharp. There was a huge crowd of people, and we were lucky to get the shots of this menacing track car when we did. More on this car in a future post.

Wow.

There's definitely some venom in this car.

Man, that's a curvaceous ass!
And so wraps up yet another episode of Coffee & Cars, be sure to hit them up through their site or their Facebook page to keep up with any kind of updates. We look forward to finding more unique rides out next month, however, I am a bit worried that the first saturday of the month for January is New Year’s day. Yikes.

Car guys waiting to see and hear the cars as they exit stage right.
