Danh is the man!

Photo shoots. As our friends from Speedhunters, Fatlace, Stanceworks, etc. can tell you….. it is by no means a simple task. It takes planning. It takes scheduling a day that accommodates both parties, it involves picking out a spot unique for the car that has not been whored out all over the internet, it is dependent on traffic, and there is a a perfect time frame to shoot where the sun is masked just enough that it bears no shadows. That is only the beginning….after spending up to 4 hours on a single shoot, you spend twice as long editing and water marking photos. So between all this planning and sacrificing free time from our everyday lives to put these shoots together, it is by no means a simple task. However, the satisfaction and appreciation I receive from everyone excited about us keeping the “Ricer Life” alive is all we need to keep this blog going and keep us loving what we do!

So with this issue of the Lifestyle post, I wanted to show those whom may have never actually been on an all out photo shoot, how MayDay Garage terrorizes the streets! The subject this evening is none other than Princeton Wong’s super clean, super functional AP1 S2k. Now, I wont go into too much detail about the actual car because I promise there is a full feature soon to come! We also had a guess photographer with us this evening, the lovely Bethany Quillin! We are always down to have other photographers come and hang out. Don’t be a stranger.

Bethany is a badass indeed. Also, first time in a Recaro!

9 out of 10 times how our shoots start......waiting around for our fearless leader John P.

First Stop. Main street downtown.

First stop, Main Street Downtown. For those of you from Houston, you already know how hard it is to find a decent place to shoot. Not only do you have to deal with Texas traffic, but the scenery isn’t always there. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Houston and I cant imagine living in any other city, but having a beautiful California coast line wouldn’t hurt either. I really have to give it up to our Ace’s Danh and Khiem. They do an amazing job of taking something nice and making it THAT much better. Kudos guys.

Its official.

The Law Man is not impressed

Law Man's new....ergh old truck. Yeah, its pretty badass

Next stop, Double Trouble. Coffee and cocktails. If you’re ever in downtown Houston, Double Trouble is a MUST to check out. Badass cocktails and badass coffee…..its seriously the best of both worlds. Super chill spot right off of Main St.

Dat Ass.

Doing whatever it takes to get the shot. Plus, whats a Mayday blog post without a stance photo

I apologize as unfortunately my iphone coverage stops here. As much as I support the iphone, its completely useless at night for any type of serious coverage! Check back soon as the REAL feature should be up sometime soon.

Shot and edited entirely through my iPhone 4.
