Wow, what a crazy weekend!
If you’ve been paying attention, myself and JohnP made a weekend trip to Atlanta, GA to check out the local drift scene and to watch the pros hit up Road Atlanta, the premier drift track in the Southeast for FormulaD. While FormulaD’s main course was of course the hot drift action on the main track, there were a TON of other things to do to keep your attention. Among these attractions, one stood out like a sore thumb, the Fatlace One of One carshow.

Fatlace's Battle Flags blowing in the cool Atlanta air

Although the Fatlace show is not a large show by any means, this show is different than most others in that it is geared towards the offset and stanced minded enthusiasts you see popping up everywhere across the United States.

This group of cars all had one thing in common: they can go under railroad crossing gates

If the name Fatlace sounds familiar to you, it should. Fatlace is actually a small boutique in Japantown, CA, that sells Fresh shoes, clothes, skateboard and bike equipment to name a few things. But what’s different about Fatlace is that they are also car enthusiasts that coined the term “HellaFlush“.

One HellaFlush S2000 AP1

One requirement for being HellaFlush is to be HellaLow as well

The HellaFlush craze soon swept the country, and like it or not, it quickly became not only a modification for your car, but a certain type of style. As more and more cars began minding their fitment, the Stance/HellaFlush movement was becoming so large that it made sense to hold a carshow dedicated to this type of style. Enter FormulaD.

Dumped Miatas are starting to make a strong movement towards the fitment scene.

The originals of the HF style. VW's have been doing this for years.

A joint venture between Fatlace and FormulaD, One of One was born. So while the super slammed drift cars were making their rounds on the drift course, you could take a look at some super slammed hardparked cars for a change of pace. Here, you could see bagged Lexus’, scraping 240’s and flushed out Honda’s all in one area. There was a little something for everyone.

Definitely something you never see is a low, flushed out Supra riding on TE37's.

There were a lot of Hondas representing from FWD’s to RWD’s. Here are some interesting ones:

This blue AP2 S2000 was a clean example of clean and fit.

Check out the white Work Meisters! It looked great in person

This newer generation Honda Civic had in my opinion, perfect fitment.

Damn! Love that fitment!

This 5th gen Honda Accord also looked proper with the CCW clasics and H22

Of course it wasn’t always about the Hondas. There were some shining examples of other makes.

This EVO 8 had some classic TE37's and something purple on it's lip.

Purple Carbon? Interesting...

There was also a strong showing of old school cars such as these clean examples.

This N2 widebody Levin Hatchback had a super old school look that I fell in love with.

Oooooh, that intercooler is just sittin' behind that grill waiting to be used!

Superdished LongChamps if I'm not mistaken

Wow! An old school Soarer! Now that's something you don't see everyday!

Speaking of Soarers and CCW classics, this Lexus SC was my favorite car of the show!

Super dumped, super clean, this SC was all about being a neckbreaker

Those CCW's were so bright, I couldn't even take a pic of them straight on!

Neckbreaking 101

We even met up with our old buddy, Danny Barber who just recently moved from Houston to live in Georgia. He brought out his fresh Nissan S15 Silvia, converted from an N/A base model to full SpecR goodness. Danny was proud to rock our badass Skittles sticker!

Please don't burn our sticker with that cigarette, Danny!

Hmmmm #69 out of 100. Coincidence?

Overall, it was a great show and seemed to be a popular stop for people checking out the entire Road Atlanta venue. We will be covering the rest of this past weekend in our upcoming posts, so be sure to stay tuned!

Stay tuned for more!
