It’s Saturday, It’s TX2k, which means DAMN, that’s a lot of Horsepower around Houston in one weekend. As I was driving home (1:30am), I was thinking of different cars to match up against my desire for the NSX. I came up with; NISMO 370Z, Corvette, Supra, GTR, WRX STI, EVO 9 MR, M3, M5, 911 Turbo, F355, and still chose the NSX. So I was wondering “why do I want an NSX? (specially the 95 T-Top)”.

Designed and first produced in the early 90s, a used NSX sure is overpriced for a late model mid-V6 engine Honda. Finding a used NSX in good condition would probably cost the same as a super-charged American V8, a twin-turbo’d v6 German, an EVO/STI, or even a used Ferrari (355). I can easily purchase a car that has more power than the NSX. Of the barn, the NSX had an output of almost 280hp, who knows what a used NSX would clock in at, a 2014 Civic Si would probably beat it.

One does not simply want an NSX..so what is my justification?! Everyone I talked to who had the same sentiments agreed that it’s design is timeless, you cant complain about its reliability, the weight to power ratio is well balanced, and of course it’s a part of racing history; Senna had one and yeah Gordon Murray found the NSX as an inspiration for his McLaren F1 design! Even with all the valid points said, it wasn’t enough.

With so much thought while driving, as I approached my driveway,my conclusion was quite simple;

I will always want it. and until I get one, I wont find my answer. Go to sleep,  let the “Power of Dreams” kick in yo!

it’s 3:15am, I knew I should have not drank that ice cream coffee w/ tapioca…

Goodnight.
