When we talk about Nissan Silvias, we think of the S13, S14 and S15. Little do we know, or have herd about the S12 Silvia; known as the 1984-88 200sx in North America and the Gazelle in some parts of Asia. At first glance, the wedge-shaped Silvia may remind you of an AE86, or an MKII Supra or specially the 83 Honda Accord hatch; just because this body style was popular during those times.
Yeah, to some of ya’ll it looks nostalgic borring, commonly designed car during the 80s, yeah, why did you bring this car up Mark? What if…
What if we add an extra Wide body kit, enormous wing, loud exhaust, and decals, what do we think of?
a RICER!
Super Silhouette Silvia S110, was part of the Fuji Grand Championship series between 1979 and 1984 which followed Group 5 Standards. There were only few regulations during this time and cars generally would only share the same basic “Silhouette” as its production cars version; thus Super Silhouette. the Super Silhouette The S110 Silvia Turbo competed in the FIA Group 5 category against the likes of the BMW M1, Mazda RX-7 and the Toyota Corolla G5.
After seeing this car for the first time, I believe that Bosozoku cars mirrored this image on a street level and even made it more extreme with their aerodynamic body mods.
LOL This almost reminds me of a story when all the other prettier sisters (S13,S14,S15) would pick on that one sister. The neglected sister was then granted one wish to be pretty for a night, then turns out to be the prettiest of them all.

Then the other Silvia S12 sister, lived to be one of the greatest race cars of all time.
The end.
