Happy Monday everyone!

I know Mondays suck, but Andrew’s final and most epic post yet should put a smile on your face!
We strive to put out the most complete and best coverage out there, and unfortunately, that takes time, so thanks for being so patient with our coverage! Without further ado….

Words by Andrew Machac:

A little "flare" is always nice.

All in all it was a great day! L to R (ATS*Chris, ATS*Aj, ATS Angel and Chris' wife Dina)

Thank god she didn't have hairy pits. That woulda been awkward.

Looks like any other Honda out there, but the paint on this was immaculate, even in the bright sun this black was perfect.

Sonny's insight

Sonny's bagged Insight fitted with SSR's.

I could use one of these in my garage.

I'm pretty sure you can figure out which one is a dude.

All these nice IS's were not a good influence on me.

IS <3

Yes. This S14 shits out dog food and water into two neat bowls.

Congrats to Angel for his win

This is my roommates favorite swap in FD's....LS....juan.

Junior's DA he brought down, lovin' the Racing Harts.

I think I like the SE37K's best on Big Mike's car so far.

What a cool little Honda.

Straight Vdub style, and I'm totally diggin the stepped lip.

This was row of classics were looking very patriotic.

Kingdingalings EG wasn't hard to spot with the Dori Dori's, and orange valve cover poppin outta the bay.

I'm diggin his ride with the custom shock towers, and modified upper water neck filler.

Kingdingalings tucked radiator

dumped

This had to be one of the cleanest cars at the show.

Euroline SL's were fitting on this FC.

If the rears had a good pull, this FC would be straight.

Another one of my favorites of the show, I guess it was the glass-like paint that sucked me in.

Another nicely fitted S2000 resting on concaved TE's.

I wonder how this looks rolling.

Checkers anyone?

The 1320 EK

The sun was in her eyes, my eyes were on her.

I think my favorite sticker is the Apple. :)

Such a terror on the track I bet, heck it looks mean sitting still.

The leather stiched bra was a nice touch that matched the interior.

Holy moly that cage is nice, along with the carbon doors. Im sure Ken block would have a field day in this thing.

WOW i didn't notice till I got back home from LA and looked through the pix that the High End STi was barely resting on those blocks.

Shadows were hard to avoid during the middle part of the day.

The Auto Concept RX7 had a flush mounted trunk fuel cell......

and battery box.

Kind of a bright color, but It looks good slammed on black shoes.

I think he was out numbered by the bikes by a long shot.

Too clean and nice fitment

It's yellow b rizzi's the color......

One of the Three MKIII's.

Joey(Stickydiljoe) catching a break to snap a few shots.

I see some potential business for Ryan(Rywire).

Just one of the rows of battle flags

Tents were a necessity for locals, but for us Texans it was down right nice.

The show wasn't the only thing Japanese

Billy's HKS themed IS300 was in the "It's jdm yo!!!" booth.

HKS T51R's have to be the most menacing and intimidating sounds to hear.

This Lex was a nice sight to see for as you entered the show.

I've always wanted a tennis ball shooter

TE's + Willwoods= Thumbsup

Shirts anyone? They had plenty to choose from, and the more you bought the cheaper they got. So I snagged some for roommates and friends.

MotorMavens in the Heezy

I wonder what Antonio was shooting...

Ah. Now I see.

Aw damn.

Another toy I could get down with.

Soloman here got snipe'd while using his 7D.

Pimpin' IS easy.

One of Joeys limited gold leaf stickers that Salem wore proud. I would have bought one if their would have been extras, but Joey said they were very time consuming to make.

Floating motors were the new trend at Nisei..........jk. Maybe one day

Bromancing the stone

Old school wheels from back in the day, still lookin fresh today.

After looking through so many VIPCAR magazines, it's nice to see this GS is up to date on the style.

AutoFashion had the VIP locked down.

now VOGUE.

Free NOS drinks were being handed out all day.

NOS had music in thier booth also

AZN SQUAT

ATS*Chris answering questions from the many interested.

This is one spot I should have hung out more to preserve my redneck as demonstrated by Pie

Tony's NSX

Puttin' the WIDE back into widebody

Sonny with a kool-aid smile (probably cause he's not gettin' burnt)

Who are YOU reppin'?

ATS*Ferds Del Sol now wearing a Rywire sticker.

Vintage at it's best.

Too many nice wheels to pick a favorite.

The hood was removed so that the tennis ball shooter could get more distance

They make radials that small??

Nuff said.

Dina and ATS*Chris posing for MaydayGarage.

"Ohhh heyyyy" "Bruce voice"

These fenders are so fresh!!

What's not to like about this picture?

"Swat came into my house"

What side of the camera should she be on?

The ladies of the It's Jdm Yo booth.

The Iron man mask was too cool, and he actually wore while getting his trophy.

This IS300 has it all, and has to be the baddest in the states.

Always nice to see a fellow Canon user, especially when their packing a lens I'd love to have.

Arn Reyes' Hydro-K had some new editions courtesy of Skunk 2.

This tucked DA had a nice overall look to it.

Most people wouldn't believe that Ejays car had a different motor in it a week prior. Props to him for making it out.

Its jdm yo booth had the models available for pictures.

Those are some pretty big sunglasses....

Toppo Secreta /japanese voice

I crept into the Auto Concept Elite/High End booth for a couple shots.

Top Secret Gold and matching TE's

Jorge with his minty MOB'd EG from Arizona

Jackie spotted me trying to get a shot of her and her man.

Gotta start them out young

We had a peeper in the background of this one.

Another clean grocery getter.

This guy "shelled" out some money for these custom M7'S. The color choice was nice!

This MKIII on Work Equips was one of the nicer ones I've seen.

Autofashion TL=perfection in my book.

Sippin on that drank, in the "calm" LA heat.

Danny from Norcal in his EK with paint matched lips were looking bomb.

This is a drag car? Looks too clean, but I love it when cars can hit the show and the track.

Junior had Natalie posing on the car he brought, so I took advantage and got a few shots in.

I thought this gentleman was from National Geographic.

Smile for MaydayGarage!

Lots of one off custom work were put into this G37 by the Auto Concept Elite team in memory of JR.

Snow shovel?

Autofashion had things inline for the this last Nisei.

This has to be the cleanest(or one of, at least) wagons out there.

And here's the one shot I was talking about previously were I was able to catch the color.

I just saved a lot of money on my car insurance

I think she's had it up to there.

Pose for that shot.

"The tofu goes right here"

YES

Hey, you with the camera! You're doing it wrong!

Why hello there.

Who doesn't like BBS'?

The front end was just as aggressive as the wheel and brake setup, but I slacked on snapping a shot. :(

Wow, that reflection makes the brakes look HUGE.

There isn't much you really need to do to a Porsche, but LM's will sure set it off.

I'd love to see this on the road course with all it's seriousness.

Now this is a cool truck because......

it has TE's, willwoods and.....

a detachable steering wheel.

Staying cool in The Chronicles booth.

Varanza's looked nice on this TL

Purpose built son.

"you cant sit here"

Mike G(EG6 Tank) and Ryan(1JDMEF9) chatting

Makes me wanna do a old school build...........waaay down the road though.

Got visors?

Haha ran into Maureen again, and she wasn't ready.

I ran around all day meeting new faces, talking to current friends, and taking candid shots, but the guys were on to me this time. L to R ATS*Angel, ATS*Fred(FCB) with son Jaylen, and ATS*Ryan.

The Biggest Homie(Hoonie) wanted a pic with her, so what the heck, I took the shot.

Throwin it down in the NOS booth.

Ryan calling it a day after trophy ceremonies and taking it to the house.

I was trying to get a couple shots in when I spotted Big Mike in the distance to my left, so I made a small hand gesture and he much obliged with........

the "Big Mike Pedo". For some reason I think we'll be seeing more of these at a later date.

WTF!

ATS*Ferds Del Sol

Luke from Import Tuner

Badass!

Maureen Chen assisted Antonio with the trophy ceremony

As all the trips out to the West Coast, they are always enjoyable for many obvious reasons. But none of them would be the same without the great friends and crew that are over there and welcome me in as if it’s my own home. Thanks again to my ATS*DPK Miracle Whip crew for everything!! Now you guys need to come visit BIG Texas and transport your cars. Throughout the coverage you’ve been able to see what goes on prior to the actual show itself, and for those of you that didn’t make this show, we at MaydayGarage tried to cover and shoot as much as possible to make you feel like you were there. Now I have to admit, I got a little shutter happy but it was all for good reason, and someone actually called me “Shutterbug”. This years Nisei was a much anticipated one since it was supposed to be the last one, but I’m sure myself and many others hope Ken Myoshi can make some thing happen in the future. You can bet if there is another one, MaydayGarage will be there to soak it up and get coverage again, but with plenty sun tan lotion.

You never know when I'll strike. (photo credit: StickyDilJoe)
