It’s been a while since I’ve shot drifting. Today I had the pleasure of checking out HyperFest in West Virginia, and as usual, I’ll be providing a bit of coverage. I know I’m extremely backed up when it comes to providing coverage, but I swear I’m going to knock these out this week! Don’t hate me!

This past weekend I made my way out to Fort Worth Texas for the 5th round of XDC. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty stoked for the event being that a national drift circuit hasn’t touched base on Texas soil in over 3 years. The weather however was not very welcoming as we arrived on track day as a band of rain happened to sit its ass right on Fort Worth for about 12 hours. The rain did eventually stop however right when the event started started and everything proceeded on schedule. There were some pretty clean cars out there and some unexpected results in this round of the drift circuit. All of which I will get to in part one. Until then, take a brief look at what was going on this weekend at XDC rd. 5.
Plenty of People rocking CCWs nowadays, but this IS pulled it off really nice.

The Rain stopped, and people rolled out to scope whips and cheer their local drifters go into battle.
They also come out to watch tow trucks race ambulances around the track.

Chelsea Denofa, current points leader in the series suffering from suspension problems all day couldn't wasnt able to place. He did however pull a 100yd burnout, pretty impressive.
Pink Passion was on fire all weekend, this missile was no joke.
Chris Forsberg, professional drifting badass and one of the XDC judges at the event. I have mad respect for this dude and have followed him since he first went pro, he's legit.
And the guy who took home the cheese, Doug van der Brink. This turbo mustang was boss.
