Round 6 of the Lone Star Drift Series

Traveled out to Mineral Wells last weekend and got a few photos of some good old fashioned grassroots drifting…

Panda Hatch was just chillen out there at the airport…

Don’t mind the vintage type photos… it was taken with a potato…

MCR (My Chemical Romance) Factory’s S15…

Photo is a bit blurry bc I’m still getting used to this potato cameara….

Proper fitment for any BRZ/FRS/Genesis

All types of skid racing going on…

@nightparade’s street legal skid car…

Special guest D1 driver, Yokoi Masashi, was out there as well…

Traveling all the way from AZ for some drifting fun…

Stance…

Big Country Wang….

Day 1 consisted of racing til dusk… then it was time to party…

This E36 was loud AF…

Drivers were hella excited to be out there…

Yin and yang…

SR20’s pull a premium…

A normal racecar cockpit…

Justin Hosek’s 4GS powered hachiroku, Robert Turnbow 2JZ and Dewayne Ramsey’s 1JZ powered Cressida’s representing 80’s best…

If you thought the weather was too hot to be out there, it WASN’T too bad…

I didn’t get to stay for competition but the D1 drivers, Yokoi and Tezuka, were commenting in Japanese like you would hear in D1 competitions…

Smoking is not that bad for you…

It’s tough only having a 55mm and 135mm prime lenses, but you get creative and get different angles…

But I’m pretty lazy so I just got one angle…

This potato camera is not too bad but I wouldn’t recommend it…

4 door Camry power…

Favorite chassis for drifters worldwide…

Thanks for looking… rice on!

“It is with heavy hearts that we pass along this bit of news we received today. Texas drifter Tyler Cox passed away today. Tyler was involved in a non-motorsports related accident recently, and stopped breathing for a period of time. Paramedics were able to keep him alive and he was in ICU for the past few days, but passed away today. Tyler competed in the NOPI Drift and D1 USA events, and was a frequent driver at many of the local grassroots events in Texas. Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of Tyler Cox.”

Our thoughts and prayers also go to the family of Tyler Cox and we hope that they find the strength to get through this difficult time.
