Automotive Porn: Risi Competizione’s Ferrari FXX Evoluzione

It’s been a while since we’ve featured a car, hasn’t it? Me and JohnP have been wanting to feature a few cars lately, but we both vowed to wait for a car that would be out-of-this-world. I believe this Ferrari fit the bill.

You know this car means absolute business when you see center locking nuts on the wheels.

Super sleek and super low, absolutely everything on this Ferrari screams function.

The Mayday Capital Run: Definitely Dumped Friendly.

Worried about scraping up dead carcasses on the Mayday Capital Run in your Helladumped ride? Fear not, for our very own JohnP has taken time to test out the conditions for the Houston Leg to make sure that you don’t mess up your ride! Now that’s dedication!

Getting Down to Business: Jonas’ Toyota Corolla AE86

Mondays. Oh how I despise mondays. Mondays to me mean two things: 1. it’s gonna be another 5 days before the weekend, and 2. it’s time to put on my game face for work and get down to business. For others, mondays may mean something else, and I’m not sure what mondays mean for Jonas, the owner of this particular AE86, but I’ll tell you one thing, he knows what business is, and this corolla is screaming it.

Even at a standstill, this AE86 begs to be driven.

Drift with a dash of Class: Justin Rogers’ Kouki 240sx

It’s not easy building a car that not only turns heads, but also can take a beating at the local drift events. It’s not easy building a drift car that not only has matching body panels, but can also get you around town without waking up the neighborhood with a super loud exhaust. And it definitely is not easy building a car that can stand out in a city that’s 5.7 million people deep.

If you’ve been to any recent drift event here in Houston, TX, you’d be hard pressed to not notice Justin Rogers’ vibrant red 1997 240sx sliding through the cones.

A drift car on Houstons Main St in Downtown??

A drift car on Houston's Main St in Downtown??

You may remember this clean car from our past coverage of the September 13th drift event. After the tire smoke subsided, and the dust settled, we asked Justin if we could shoot his car for the Mayday blog.

Houston: Texas VIP Style movement

At a recent car show I attended, I spotted this G35 that I had to take pictures of. TunerlifestyleTV hosted this show and of all the cars at the show, there was one team that stood out from the rest, Refined Elegance. For those of you outside of Houston, Refined Elegance is a local group of luxury-minded enthusiasts who show hard with their VIP-inspired rides.

Funny how many people from different states think that only Cali knows how to build VIP styled cars. Not true. A perfect example is Zeem’s (aka KalvinMaui) 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan. The car was originally black, but an intricate color change to a very cool Lexus IS350 Glacier Frost Mica brings out all of the smooth flowing lines of the G35. The car is slammed thanks to the air ride and compliments the Leon Hardiritts perfectly. The rear fenders were subtly widened to accommodate the larger wheels without any issues.
This car is an awesome of example of planning and execution done right.
