Testing… Testing… 1… 2…

Yes, we have our very first batch of Car Shop GLOW LED tail lights for the FD3S RX-7, and we gave them a go on one of our FD’s and brought it out to last night’s Ricer Wednesday meet at our Food Truck, The Rice Box. The lights are in original OEM Mazda Housings super polished to bring out the original black housings that extra special shine, and are properly sealed to avoid condensation. We are currently taking detailed photos of the lights in our studio, as well as photos of the lights compared with OEM/JDM lights in both direct sunlight and not. First impressions are very good, and you’ll be able to see that in the photos. Each set will come with a warranty card signed by Car Shop GLOW as well as a few high quality stickers. Videos will also be shown so you can see for yourselves.

We have had our inboxes blown up with people wanting to secure the lights for themselves, so to answer what most of you are asking, the price is set at $999USD not including shipping. We ARE going through a change on our site and we WILL have a new online store for you to be able to purchase these much sought after lights. Please be patient with us as we are wanting to do this the right way, and not take any shortcuts. In the meantime, check out the first set of CarShopGLOW x MaydayGarage LED taillights in the USA!

Not Something You See Everyday.

You would think that with the Bugatti’s, Lambos, Ferrari’s, Fiksers and Maseratti’s, most people would just skip over a small hatchback. The problem with that is we see these exotics more often than not. When we came across this Renault Clio V6 (Phase 2) hatchback at last weekend’s Houston Cars & Coffee, our jaws dropped. This truly unique car made an appearance and we noticed that most people walked right past it. Maybe it’s the small stature of this seemingly normal looking hatchback or maybe it’s the fact that it’s silver with no decals or giant badges to indicate that it’s a rare model, but it certainly looks utilitarian. That is, until you look in the hatch. No luggage, no groceries, no spare tire. Just an engine behind the front seats in this Midship engine Renault. At 255bhp, this hot hatch hauls serious ass.

It’s these types of cars that bring us to Houston Cars and Coffee every month.

No, those are not XXR wheels.

The OMP steering wheel should make you question if this is a normal car or not.

Or it's the dual center exit exhausts combined with the wide fenders and functional side scoops that will give you a hint.

More Than We Can Afford.

Although we consider ourselves Ricers, some of us do like exotics too. What once plastered our bedroom walls with dream exotics along with TMNT and scantily clad women posters is now something we can look at in person and appreciate as an adult thanks to things like Houston Cars & Coffee.

This past Cars & Coffee, we were treated with both new and old Ferrari’s along with Ferrari race cars, and luckily, we managed to snap off a few photos.

Ahhh the Ferrari 458 Italia...

Now THAT is a crowd.

The Crowd Pleaser. Sometimes.

We know you’ve all seen Khiem’s FD RX-7 a billion times on the internet, but for whatever reason, most people have never “really” seen it aside from some small local car meets. Lately, it’s been on stage at last month’s Cars & Coffee and even more recently, TX2K14, where this type of car belongs.

When the hood goes up, everyone crowds around within seconds at Cars & Coffee

Sitting pretty with the three rotary powered FD's at TX2K14

Most people think FD's don't make an insane amount of power, especially at TX2K

Until that hood goes up

I believe "dick magnet" is the correct term as Linhbergh and Khiem demonstrates

NorCal x SoCal x TX.

We recently had the pleasure of bringing some of the best photogs from California to Texas in time for TX2K14, and were able to watch these two monsters work their cameras. Every day, every morning, we would all meet up at 6:30am sharp at Catalina Coffee, and shoot 1-2 cars in the morning, get coffee, get lunch, crash out, wake up and meet again at Catalina Coffee at 5:30pm every night, everyday, and shoot 1-2 cars in the evening, then get coffee, get dinner, go out and race. Wash, rinse, repeat.

To say it was a hectic week would be an understatement. Trying to coordinate 14 photoshoots with two different photographer is not something I would ever want to do again -without coffee.
