Texas Cars UNITE!!!

For the longest time, we’ve always wanted a reason to bring multiple cities in Texas together for one event. WekFest USA will be having their show for the first time in Houston, our hometown, next month on Sunday, December 15th at the George R. Brown Convention center. As you know, they’ve asked us to host a Pre Meet in Houston, the night before, and we enthusiastically obliged by teaming up with Stickydiljoe to have our premeet at the 8th Wonder Brewery just a couple of blocks away. We know there’ll be a lot of you guys coming to both events, and we’ve teamed up with some local leaders in the Austin and Dallas areas to have a mass caravan from each respective city to leave that Saturday morning and have them all come together for lunch at The Moon Tower Inn, a badass food spot that specializes in wild game hot dogs and Texas brewed craft beers.

The idea is to have everyone come to this spot to not only eat and drink, but also to give people that don’t know anyone in Houston a place to socialize and kill some time before heading just a mile or two down the road to our meet at 8th Wonder. We will be there at all three venues, so please prepare your livers, it will be one of the best car weekends of your life.

Andrew does Dallas.

As stated before, times change, and people change, but friends are forever. One of our friends, Andrew, got married a couple of years ago, and although marriage makes you take on different priorities, passion will always remain the same. Andrew recently joined us for a trek to Dallas, TX, home of Formula Drift Round six. It’s good to know that not only does he still enjoy smoking rubber tires into the night, he still knows how to capture a great image.

Event Coverage: The Lonestar Run by MaydayGarage.

If you’ve been following MaydayGarage for a few years, then you know Mayday’s earliest beginnings started off as a caravan to Austin dubbed The Mayday Capital Run. It was originally conceived and planned by our very own JohnP as a way to build a small knit group of people that just want to cruise as a pack. The first few were so successful, we now have a following that travel with us every time we have one of these runs.

On the run! The Mayday Garage Lonestar Run to Wek’Fest!

As I’m typing this while riding shotgun in Greg Lilly’s Matte Green STi, i’m having some difficulty holding on to my macbook and camera as Greg is literally blasting past our 30+ caravan of sweet and sick rides! I picked a few photos to share, and we’re a few hours out from our last stop at In-N-Out Burgers in Ft. Worth. Enjoy!

I warned Mikey this would be a bad idea. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Dallas, TX: Stance of the Union Pt. 2

Wow, what a weekend. Just got done looking and semi-editing the photos I took from Stance of the Union held at Cobb Tuning in Plano, TX. The meet had a great atmosphere with music being spun by a local DJ (sorry, I forgot who it was!), and everyone actually walking around and mingling with others as they share wheel specs, suspension settings, or just giving props. Much nicer than people who just sit in a chair by their cars and watch people who look at their car. Such a positive enviroment!
