The best follow run is only possible when the best lead run is also ran.

Wall Speedway is known for is cheese grater guard rails. They have destroyed many Formula D cars over the year. Shredding the bumpers as the drivers try to get the closest to the rail to maximize points. Usually Wall Speedway claims at least one victim during the weekend. This year, that wasn’t the case. James Evans, Michael Essa, and Dave Briggs fell victim to the cheese grater but they were all able to come back and compete.
When Dave Briggs S14 straightened and headed right for the guard rail all i could think of was Tyler Wolfson’s crash last year when he smashed his car in practice. Briggs only sustained minor damage and was able to come back out for Qualifying. Unfortunately he was one of the very few drivers that didn’t qualify. James Evans gave the wall a little love and broke the suspension on the driver rear, but the Sikky Racing crew was up to the task and got him back out to make a second pass. Once again bad luck struck and the trunk popped open and he was given a zero. Michael Essa also took a tough crash destroying the left front suspension and his team was able to get it back and running 100%.
The next round is Seattle which also has a reputation for great wall rides and crashes. Unfortunately i will not be in Seattle but i will be back for Texas and Irwindale to close out the year.
Good luck to all the drivers in the next round and i hope you all enjoy my inside look on Formula D and some of the drivers.
