Drifting. The mention of the word sends different thoughts through my head. AE86′s, Touge, D1, wild body kits, bright colors and tire smoke are just a few words that come to mind. Of those, the one constant word that always comes back is JAPAN.

The heartland and origin of drifting as we all know it today. What better way to experience drifting than to go to the source. Lucky for me, my buddy Ameen from 786 motoring hooked me up with Alexi Smith from Ziptied.com.

If you read part 1, then you’ve seen the cars in the paddock area in Nikko Circuit. In part 2, we will show you a bit more of the cars in action.

Thought I was kidding?? Insane. And on Leon Hardiritt Ordens no less.

There were a lot of cars that were beat up, and then there were a lot of drift cars that were incredibly clean. As this 180sx shows:

One of my most favorite cars out there, an older Toyota Soarer.

As i’ve said before, there were a lot of sedans out there getting sideways. Many of them sounded mean as hell, as most all of the cars were six cylinder turbocharged motors running very little sound muffling.

DAMN. Look at that wheel fitment under those overfenders!

Bumper loose? F*** it, just keep going!

Then of course, there were cars that most people wouldn’t even attempt to drift.

Although this impreza wasn't the best drifter out there, it's still cool.

Done dropping the kids off at the mall? Time to drift the wagon!

WTF. A K-car?? This Rex was an absolute trip to see!

But aside from all the oddball cars, there were you’re typical slide squad cars.

What appears to be a bone stock S15, the car did well out there.

With so much water being splashed up, the water gives the FC a glow.

It takes two to tango, so what does 3 mean?

My apologies if the pictures look a little blurry, it was extremely hard for me to shoot in the rain and hold an umbrella. It also doesn’t help that I didn’t shoot in RAW or even alter the photos in any way. But if you want to see the rest, just click HERE.
